During the past few days, I’ve learned how to face every challenge and to approach every opportunity with an open mind and an open heart. These kids have honestly changed my life for the better. They barely know me, but they’re always loving and caring towards me and everyone else. It’s beautiful to see children so eager to work hard. As their teacher, I want to give them everything I have to increase their passion for movement. Coming from a strict ballet background, growing up, there wasn’t much opportunity for me to be expressive when dancing. Dance has always felt very academic to me. I’m learning how to let dance be something that brings me joy because I’m cultivating my own artistic expression while sharing my passion with people all over the world. I can’t wait to make more memories and this will definitely be one week I’ll never forget.
