Allyson Yoder is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a B.F.A. in Dance and a certificate in Socially Engaged Practices at Arizona State University. She is inspired by the transformative power of movement, creative process, and the arts, and she is a firm advocate of the foolish notion that dance can change the world. As the founder and president of Movement Exchange at ASU, she hopes to build a diverse coalition of dancers who are socially engaged, globally minded, and community oriented. When she’s not leading Movement Exchange, you can often find her hiking in the desert, cooking up something experimental and vegan in the kitchen, charming the neighborhood cats, or napping in unconventional locations. Otherwise, the odds are she’s dancing.
